I love him too much.. I can't let go, and I don't want too

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
This is a difficult one, and I would appreciate any advice that anyone can give. My ex and I have been on and off for 7 years. We now have a one year old together. He and I were engaged last year, however I called it off because every time we fought, he would walk away from my child and I for days. I just didn't think he or I were ready for marriage( I am 21, by the way). But anyhow, we broke up once again last week. He blames me for alot of things that have happend in the past( cheating when I was 15, and having him pay child support). I can't stress to him how much I love him and how much he means to me. He has developed this tough exterior and no longer acts like our relationship matters. Tonight , he tells me HE LOVES ME, but he doesn't want to do it again( meaning out relationship) And I don't know what to believe anymore? Is this a head game to get some kind of satisfaction? I don't know what to do short of begging. Last week, and I am serious, he was saying he loves me, helping my family move, eating dinner with us and hanging out with me and our baby. And now? He acts like- whatever. we're over, can i go home now? And it hurts horribly because this is the person I have loved for so long. and granted, we have problems. who doesnt, right? So for anyone who has been in this position, or similar, please please tell me what to do? please tell me how to go about this one, i am officially confused. Do i give him time? should I act like i don't care? Help...

RomanceClass.com Advice
This has been an on again off again thing for a while now.

You two or at least you need to get some professional counseling. You two have had plenty, plenty of time to figure this out on your own and you haven't been able to. I can't help much in a short reply which is all we can give.

Normally I would suggest conversation, sharing feelings, and affection but as I said you have had years to do this.

Don't act like you don't care if you really do... that is a mind game.

Good luck! George
