i lost my girlfriend because of my jealousy

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
ok. ive been dating this girl for 3 months. and i get jealous when i see other guys hanging around her. i kept quiet about and i didnt say anything. but my jealousy just kept getting worse. i finaly talked to her about it. and at first she understood. and she told me that she would not let any guys hit on her or anything. but then i just kept getting worse and then we started having arguments about it and just the other day we had a big argument and then she just finaly said "I cant do this anymore. its over" so i lost her because of my jealousy. i want her back so bad. we had a great relationship until i said anythimg about being jealous. maybe i just should have kept quiet about it. shes my first girlfriend and im new to dating but i really want her back. we have so much in comon that its not funny. and i just want her back more than anything. what do i do?
