asking a friend out

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
hello. there is this girl i know and we are pretty good friends have been since we were little. she recently got dumped by her fiancee at the time (early september this happened) and well i've liked her since last year more than just friends and i know she knows that. well i want to know two things really how would i go about asking her out and how long should i wait to do so. i've been there for her since before the breakup and we've been talking a lot and hanging out a lot since the breakup. note: that a day after the breakup she told me not to ask her out is that a bad sign or could it have been made out of distress from her breakup?

thank you for any help you may have to offer

RomanceClass.com Advice
She probably asked you to not ask her out as a reaction to her break up.

You should give her plenty of time to get over her loss before you make any moves.

She knows you like her and will give you a hint if she wants you as more than a good friend. But if she doesn't, give it three months and then ask her out.

Good luck! George
