Asking her out

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I like this girl at school in the year below. She know that I like her because my friend is going out with one of her friends and she has told her. However there are some other people who also like her and have been texting her for a few weeks. I want to ask her out but I don't know how to do it. How should I do it without making a fool out of myself?
