Should I try again?

Right.
About 2 months ago, I was taken by a girl called t*. I told a few people like younger people do, one of the first people to know was e*, i sit next to her in some lessons and that more i think about it, the more i like her, she still thinks i like t*. We have for some reason become great friends. I Have asked her out once about 2 weeks ago but she rejected me because she had a crush on M* and i pretended it was a joke, bad move. She has stopped that and now im thinking should i try again, What do you think?
