This girl at church

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
There is this girl in my church that I have been madly in love with for about 10 years. Recently, I have started talking on the internet to her and getting to know her better, but am not getting through. She sends me mixed signals all the time, so it gets my head spinning in all directions, and is confusing me greatly. But she goes out of her way to get online to talk to me too and laughes at the slightest jokes I make but keeps calling me "buddy" and "kid" though we are both 17. I am really confused with the situation.

Yes it is confusing. At least you are able to chat with her though.

She sounds like she is not opening up like you want her to. Since you've known her for 10 years, she probably has a hard time thinking of you as a datable boy.

If she uses nicknames like buddy use similar but more romantic temrs for her like pookie. Ask her out on a "friends" date like a walk, a movie, or just hanging out. She may be talking with you because she finds you attractive... you never know.

Get to know her better by asking how she is doing, how her family is doing, any special interests she has. This will bring you closer.

Good luck! George
