what does it really mean?

everytime i look at a girl in school from another classroom or anything they stare back at me for more than 3 seconds im the one that looks away. i wanna know what this really means because I don't really think it means they like you. They kind of give me a serious look but just keep staring back at me.

They are probably mirroring you. In other words you are probably looking at them in a serious way.

Next time you look at a girl give her a cheerful smile. Do it several times with different girls and you will get an idea of what is going on. Don't be shy when you look. If the stare goes on give her a friendly wave hello. If she waves back and continues to look at her... walk up to her and introduce yourself and be sure to remember her name.
