Did I ruin it or not?

ok well i am in highschool and theres this guy and hes 2 years older than me and we started talking and kind of flirting and i was so excited so i guess i got a little obsessive and to excited and scared him away so he told someone that i was scaring him and so i started ignoring him and i think it worked because i saw him staring at me alot in class and stuff but then me and my friend followed him home for fun and he kept looking in his mirror and he definetly saw her and hes knows shes my best friend but i was kinda hiding so i dont know if he saw me but even still it might have been obvious i mean why would my best friend be stalking my crush? so if he did see me i think i ruined it and that woulr really suck because i have never met somone as compatible as he is to me and i know he would like me if he would take the time to get to know me but im scared that he thinks im just this little immature girl so do you think i ruined or what? by the way hes never had a girlfriend before and his friend say that he doesnt know what to do with girls so...and this has been going on for like...4-5 months now sorry so long

No you didn't ruin it.

He is rather shy and you have to treat him gently. You have discovered how easy it is to scare him away. Treat him very nice, always saying hi and smiling at him. Talk with him whenever you get a chance.

When you are ready you can ask him out to dinner or a dance. Just go slow with him and things will be fine.
