Most brides and mothers of girls know about the Hope Chest. This is a wooden chest or box that is given to a young girl, for her to store her precious possessions in. It stores the things she will need as a young bride and wife. Often relatives give the girl presents over the years to serve as her wedding clothing or bridal set. The word "Trousseau" means bundle in French.
