Romantic Novels aren't always the bodice-rippers that have become so popular today! While those are fun sometimes, they often don't show a realistic view of how a romance really progresses and strengthens. Here are some great books for you to curl up and read on a rainy afternoon.

  Pride and Prejudice
The book is far better than any movie version made. The push and pull between the characters, their interactions and the wit underlying it all makes this book easy to read over and over again. You can easily imagine these characters in a modern day setting ... they're timeless.

  Wuthering Heights
A book that really explores all of the emotions that come along with love - jealousy, pride, compassion, anger, confusion. The characters are real, and have faults and weaknesses along with their better qualities. One of my favorites.

  Lord of the Rings
On one hand, this isn't really a romance story. The romance between Aragorn and Arwen is behind the scenes, and the affection others hold for him is unrequited. However, I can't help but feel romantic every time I read this. The setting, the language, the struggle each person goes through to do the very best that they can. Aragorn is my favorite hero of all time.
