So my girlfriend and I are finally engaged to be married! She just turned eighteen on the 12th of December which is what we were waiting for. But three days ago, I took her back to the place where we first met and asked her if she would marry me.
We met in a park where concerts are held. It was sort of a blind date kind of thing. One of my good friends at the time, Kris, was dating one of her good friends at the time, Sydnee. They had both told her and I about each other, so they had arranged for us to meet.
The plan at the time was to sort of double-date with Kris and Sydnee, but after thirty minutes or so, we decided to leave the park altogether. I drove us to this little cafe downtown where we sat for about two hours and just got to know each other. We immediately clicked and were officially dating at the end of the day.
It was about 7pm when I realized it was best to get her home. So I drove her home, walked her up to her door, and kissed her goodnight. It was the most powerful kiss I had ever experienced in my entire life.
Two-and-a-half years later, we are still as happy as can be. Every time I wake up and see her, I still get butterflies. So now we are engaged to be married, and can barely wait at all for that special day=]
