Avoid the familiar haunts

You need time to recover, to get over it. Donīt force yourself to face it over and over, though, by going to your favorite restaurant, sitting in your favorite booth, and dwelling on what you have lost.

Find new restaurants, ones you never went to with your ex, and discover new favorites. Grab your phone book and look up new places to explore. Get fresh thoughts into your mind. If you can, take a short vacation, shake up your routine, and give yourself time to mend.
