Tales of the Ex @ RomanceClass -
Important message

This may not be a OMFGHESATOTALSCUMMYJERK story, but it DOES have an important message for a common problem we've all had. Plus it's written in correct English, which is very rare around here. Here goes...

I went out with my guy friend when I knew he was only doing it to get the experience because I knew I couldn't get anybody else.

I had a crush on my guy friend (hereafter referred to as "B"), but then I changed my mind about twice because he was so immature and annoyed me a lot. B told me who he liked and I tried to give him advice on how to snag her (even if I was a LITTLE jealous), but he didn't want it.

Sometimes he would do random things that led me to believe that he liked ME, such as asking, "Then why not me?" when I told him on the phone that looks didn't matter for me, constantly vying for my attention (plus his friends would make strange comments around me) and things along that line.

Then one day in class he asked me out (he was shy so we passed notes), and when I reminded him of his crush he wrote, "Well I need the experience of having a girlfriend. And I think you're smart, funny, and cute."

Which would've have been nice if it not for he fact that I'm almost positive he was lying.

But, desperate fool that I am, I said yes. And he became my first boyfriend. We only went on one date to the movie theater, and we made out the whole time
After three weeks or so he started REALLY getting on my nerves, so I decided to dump him. Problem was, one of my friends accidentally let slip what I was about to do, so he broke up with me first to get the credit.

And now we don't even talk anymore. Things were VERY awkward after we broke up. I'm in high school now and I've only said "Hi" to him in the halls like three times.

So anyway, here is the all-important message:

DO NOT DATE YOUR BEST GUY FRIEND. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT!!! EVEN IF HE LIKES YOU AND YOU LIKE HIM!!! NO GOOD WILL COME OF IT! DO NOT DATE YOUR FRIENDS DO NOT DATE YOUR FRIENDS DO NO DATE YOUR FRIENDS
