Tales of the Ex @ RomanceClass -
He Lied to Me and Ran Off with an Online Chick

After college, the guy I had been dating from back home and I moved in together and everything appeared wonderful, but he wasn't ready for marriage, even though we had been together for over 4 years. He wanted to live together and be in the same state for more then a few months or weeks at a time. Seemed simple enough, and I agreed.

After about 5 months of living together, he started acting a little strange, but when I asked him about it, he told me that work was stresing him out, and that was it. I accepted it, but in the back of my head I questioned it still. One morning I had to wake up really early for work for a special event on the weekend, and when the alarm went off, he was walking into the bedroom, fully clothed still, claiming he was up playing his favorite video game and lost track of time. I laughed at it, but something about it stuck me as odd.

A week later he tells me that he needs to talk to me, and after beating around the bush he tells me we need to break up. I pack up as much as of my stuff as I can and leave, very upset, and tell him I'll be back tomorrow for the rest. The next week he calls me at work and asks if we can have dinner because he wants to talk to me. We talk, and he tells me that maybe he made a mistake, so we go on dates for a few weeks to see if we can work things out. Finally I tell him I need to know if we are going to be together or not because this wasn't working for me. He asks for the weekend to think about it. During that time he happens to have a "friend" who has a layover in town, but manages to miss her flight 5 seperate times. I go to his place after not being able to get a hold of him after the weekend, to see what's going on. He happens to pull up in his car with the "friend" and I tell him where he can go, don't call me ever again, and I leave.

I found out shortly after from a mutual friend that this girl was someone he met online from another state, and no she didn't miss her flight, they planned this meeting the weekend he wanted to "think about our relationship," and she immediately moved, and moved in with him. So basically he had already made his decision, but just wanted to see what I was willing to still do with him. I'm just glad when he asked me to sleep with him on one of our dates, I told him there were only 2 ways it would happen, either becuase we were back together, or it would be with someone else.

All I have to say about that is what an A-hole, ya know? Date me for 5 years, then break up with me, and then put me in a state of limbo for several weeks and try to get me to sleep with him again, only to dump me again! A-Hole!
