I was with my guy for five years. Two years in, we were sitting on my couch, watching tv. He turned to me and said "WOULD YOU MARRY ME?" I cried, ecstatic and said yes! The next day I told my mother, who called him and welcomed him to the family. HE FREAKED!!! He came over and started yelling about how he didn't ask me..he was just asking HYPOTHETICALLY. WHat the hell is that???? WOULD YOU MARRY ME IS NOT A HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION!!!!!!! We broke up but got back together...back and forth for the next three years, until I'd had enough. He wanted his ex back, and I could never be her. Now, he's alone, and I've got a wonderful man and a beautiful son. Don't think I don't LOVE rubbing that in his face!!
