When you see him somewhere, like in the halls of your school or workplace, snag him and say something like 'I thought I saw you the other day at _______________ (Fill in name of club, restaurant, park, or other public place). Don't you just love the __________ (fill in song, food, equipment, etc.)? If he says he wasn't there, it gives you a conversation opener: recommendations. If he actually WAS there (blush), then you can talk about his and your likes and dislikes about the place.
