I am moving out and leaving a note: I think if a person is the type of person that acts out and gets emotionally or physically abusive when told things they don’t like face to face then they don’t really deserve the respect of getting the information face to face. You could be putting yourself at risk. Each time I have tried to leave he has taken my keys and said get everything out now cause you are got getting back in once you leave. There is no way I am telling him face to face, I don’t think cause we did not work out I deserve a emotionally abusive battle from him. If it makes it easier for you to say what you need to say (nicely) without drama then by all means it is okay to leave the note, just explain why you did it that way.
