Don't bother getting your little stuff back. Clothes, CD's/DVD's, hygeine items (toothbrush, shampoo, etc) are gone. If they bring them back, via dropping them off, through a friend, then so be it, but don't bother with phone calls and emails asking. That is just more communication with your ex, and may be damaging to you, or feeding their satisfaction that you are still maintaining contact.
Material items can be replaced. Just let it go, all of it.
