I used to date a guy named Shane, and I also have a guy friend named Shane. So to not get them mixed up, I had to make a nickname for the guy I was dating. He was just so cute and sweet that I started calling him Shaney, and it just stuck. Even though we haven't been together in almost a year, I still call him Shaney every time I talk to him :)
