We Fight over Silly Things

We often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions.

Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Female
My boyfriend and I get into alot of arguments over the stupidest things, they dont mean anything at all, just the fact of arguing with him upsets me. At first I tried not to let it get to me, but it just keeps on getting worse. I tell him that it bothers me and upsets me, and he always apologizes, I dont know what else to tell him. I just want all this to stop.

I Fight Daily

me and my girlfriend have the same problem and look at it like this you fight like a married couple if you really love each other these fights will not effect your love but you will have alot of fights with love trust me i put up with it every day

[RomanceClass says - I think you have a skewed version of what being married is about! Being married is NOT about fighting all the time! A marriage like that is one that is very unhealthy. Being married is about being best friends who can discuss issues and find solutions together. Yelling is a sign of disrespect. Talk to a parent, teacher, therapist, or whoever you can to get a solution now. If you let it keep going, it will become a hard habit to break. If you are fighting DAILY - something is seriously wrong.]
