Original Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Female
I met a man on a dating website, who turned out to be a friend of an old ex boyfriend from 10 years ago.
He was extremely keen and we had a couple of great dates.Because I am older and have come out of a long term relationship, I felt he was too keen on me and over the top in his emails and the amount of times he asked to see me,so I asked him to cool off.He did and I felt more comfortable and we had a couple more dates where we talked and were very intimate and had great fun.We both went away on business for 2 weeks emailing everyday, but I came back 3 days ago and he hasn't asked to see me which has really taken me by surprise. I have told him I like him and want more than friendship and that I want to see him and move things forward and he just seems to have cooled off a little with his emails. I don't know if he was just very keen in the beginning as he remembered me as the popular girl with his gorgeous friend 10 years ago, and the reality now is that I've grown up, not as thin etc. It's hard for me to date at the beginning as I was in a long term relationship for 8 years and have never encountered this before. Has he just gone off me or got cold feet now that I have made it clear that I do really like him and want to get to spend more time with him? please help!
User Submitted Advice from a 21-30 year old Male
I actually have a question. I met this girl at a newyears eve party a couple of years ago. Well we recently started hangin out. I rally want to make it serious. I know she likes me. But here's the problem. I did the dumbest thing. I just blurted it out over text a bit ago. Now it's just awkward to be around each other. I need to know how to recover from this and make it right again. Whats a good way to boost self confidence to make it easier.
