Break a vase, and the love that reassembles the fragments is stronger than that love which took its symmetry for granted when it was whole. -- Derek Walcott

My Net Lover is Drifting Away

We often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions.

Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Male
I met this girl on the internet about 3 months ago, since then we have become very close and intement and i have fealings of love for her, i spend just about every night talking to her either by msn or phone, i love spending time for her, but lately i have begun to feel like she is trying to ditch me, bc when i call she is like yea i gotta go and always "accedently" hanging up saying 'my battery went dead" or something.

i feel like she is trying to blow me off, today i learned that she cheated on me with this guy barry that she "just met" last night and i dont know what todo about her, i love her sooo much and dont want to ruin this relationship, what do i do, what do i do

User Submitted Advice from a 21-30 year old Female
Look closer to home

I have been seeing this male from the internet for 3 years and 4 months now and I will be honest with you - it's hard to maintain a relationship with someone so far away from you. During these years we have been together our relationship was like a roller coster and I am starting to drift away from him and I think he is picking that up from me as well. Maybe by the end of this year or next year our relationship is not going to work out because we are beginning to not be happy with each other anymore. I can not put up with it and I want more and he can not make up his mind to what he really wants and I am not going to force him either. *sigh* Being involved with someone on the internet is a struggle and I am starting to believe, it won't work out, so I am encouraging you to look around your own community and keep an opened mind to another people who is coming into your life. Your life is not going to stop if your relationship does not work with a person from the internet. Keep that in mind.
