I think I am in love with one of my good friends

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I think I am in love with one of good friends. It's been going on for about three years. Pretty much since I met her. I think about her constantly. She knows I like her but doesnt know the extent of it. She as a bf now though. What am I supposed to do. I want her so badly. She is everyhting I look for in a girl. She says I love you to me and we hug all the time. We don't get to hang out a lot (once a month) because she's a senior in high school and I am a freshman in college and we live about 40 minutes away. When I told her I liked her she wasnt turned off by it, in fact we have become much closer since then. She had a smile on her face and said it was better I told her. Is this a good sign that there is a chance for us if she and her bf breakup. Does she see me as a potential boyfriend if she and her bf break up? She is so genuine and so sweet to me. Should I talk to her and tell her everything? I don't want to scare her away. It's so hard not being able to do anything about it. Please Help.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Hang in there you are doing fine.

As I said to you in your question a few days ago, you may be a safety net for her current boyfriend but you should still treat her as a best friend. Share your deepest thoughts with her... you both will feel closer for it.

Eventually she may come to you.

I hope so! George
