I want to become closer to her. How can I do this wihout looking too desperate?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I have been friends with this girl for two and a half years now and I have liked her pretty much since I met her. I just old her recently that I have feelings for her. She has a boyfriend right now. The thing is I am a freshman in college right now and she's a senior in high school. I'm supposed to be wanting to meet new people and go out with girls but I don't want to. I only want her. I talk to her on AIM and we hang out from time to time(once a month) I don't meet very many girls in fact I'm 18 and never had a girlfriend. I care about her so much and an hour doesn't go by where I don't think of her. If she and her boyfriend break up can we have a relationship. That would make me so happy. I want to become closer to her. How can I do this wihout looking too desperate? She knows I like her so I don't want to come on too strong and smother her. How can I take it slow. What kinds of things can we do together so she can trust me and we can grow closer?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It sounds like you are obsessed with her.

Remain her friend. That is the most important thing.

Do things that friends do. Be there when the other person needs you. Give her advice if she asks for it. Hang out together when possible, or go for walks in the park or by a river.

Try to spend as much time as you can with her without seeming desperate.

Try not to hope for too much since she has a boyfriend, but be ready if she breaks up with him.

Good luck! George
