I Love Her - She says Best Friends Only

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I have this friend who is a girl. I love her very much, and she knows it. I'm a muscician, I write her songs and poems but she doesn't seem to want to respond to them. We spend time with each other at our homes. We hug, I tell her I love her, and she doesn't say anything. She says were only Best Friends but I want to be with her the rest of my life.

I once told her i want to marry her some day, she just didn't say a thing. we get along great our personalities are nearly identical, I just dont get why she wont respond to me when I tell her I love her. Please what should I do or say?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You can NEVER ever pressure someone into feeling the same way you do! The more you pressure her, the more you are going to drive her away. Pressure does not work.

Obviously she has some sort of mental objection to you being a match for her. So the aim is for you to show her slowly, over time, that her objection is not a valid one. Instead of forcing her and pressuring her - which is NOT a sign of respect - start treating her with respect. Invite her to movies, to dinner AS A FRIEND. Take it very slowly. I have a ton of advice on the site about how to go from friend to boyfriend-girlfriend.

That all being said, if she honestly balks at a step, then STOP. If you can't respect her enough to respect her feelings, then you are not the man for her. She deserves to be with someone who she wants to be with, not someone who bludgeoned her into accepting something she did not want.
