How to escape the friendzone and start flirting

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Ok so there's a girl who I like a lot. She is dating someone else. We are extremely good friends we share a lot with each other we spend hours talking about secrets, music, and what we hope to do in the future. I'm afraid i might be stuck in the friend zone and she won't see me as a sexual partner how can I escape this "friend zone" and start flirting with her i really want to show her that i have stronger feelings for her. I have liked her for a long time now and I know she used to have a crush on me last year and she has also told other people that she thinks I am funny and talented. SORRY IF THIS IS A BIT LONG BUT PLEASE HELP!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
Sorry you are stuck in the "friend zone."

But what can you expect since she is dating someone else. Are you trying to steal her away from her boyfriend? While it is said that "all is fair in love and war," it is also not considered OK to try to break up a romance.

Now there is nothing wrong with being her best friend possible. And flirting is permitted for all people. Just don't get your expectations up too much and don't go to far in your flirting. Since she enjoys you as a friend, keep it at that and she may eventually come to want you as a boyfriend.

The bottom line is that you can be her best friend and hope for more but not actively try to break her up with her boyfriend. In fact, if you do come on too strong, her instincts will tell her that you are up to no good and it will hurt your friendship.

If you want to, you can tell her that you are "developing feelings" for her. But be warned that it may scare her off.

This doesn't help a lot I know. Sorry.

Good luck! George
