Is it love or an obsession?

ok. ive been having feelings for this boy since the 8th grade. now im a senior. i cant get him out of my head. i think about him all the time. i text him at least once a day. everytime i hear hs name i start smiling. and he hurt me so many times but i still take him back and i forget about all that stuff he did or said. we had, had sex lots of times and all, then he told me that he didnt have feelings for me anymore. recently he moved away. i told him how i felt about him. told him that i still loved him and all. just to get the feelings off my chest so i can move on. but he told me that he loved me too. i plan on moving to be near him when im 19. am i in love or really obsessed?

It can be difficult to draw the line between love and obsession. In your case, it seems to me to be love. You have the self control to wait until you are 19 which indicates love.

You didn't freak out when he said he didn't have feelings for you and when he moved away. I'm sure you felt bad, but you didn't mention any tremendous reaction on your part. This indicates a medium to strong love but not an obsession.
