He lived a double life almost and came back

I knew this guy for a year we finally made it official.
Everything was going great we had out arguments but got through them. He professed he wus in love and i did too and i still am. I found out he had gotten back with an X for a while so he wus dating me and her at the same time for a while. I caught him with her. We stopped tallking. couple months later got back together i broke up with him because i knew something was going on and it wus during that time he wus trying to get back with the same girl and he would say he loved her ..that didnt work out for him.. and she is gone for sure now...some time passed he wanted me back im giving him the chance he says that he never stopped loving me but i mean idk that cause look at his actions i love him nd want this to work but i wonder if he is lying about loving me and if he is just confused..or did he really love her??
