what should i do next to keep him interested

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
there is this guy at uni whom i like. I started smiling and saying hi to him and he also started saying hi whenever he sees me. I saw him today at the cafe in uni and there were some girls sittting next to him and because there was no other chairs nearby it was easier for me to just go and sit next to him. I started talking to him and asked him what he studies, where he is from and he tooo asked about me. However one of his friends came and sat near him and started talking to him. I felt uncomfortable and left. i think he understood that i felt shy because of his friend and as i was leaving he looked at me and gave me a smile. I would really like to get closer to him and have his phone number. I think there is also another girl at uni who is interested with him,. She would go and sit next to him and also ask him for help with her studies (she does translation studies while he is doing management course) What should i do to make him interested with me. Should i go again to talk when i see him again or will he think i am too easy and desperate.Or should i wait for him.How can i make this frienship go on to relationship. Please help.

You are doing very well so far.

Continue to smile and chat with him. Whenever you get the chance, sit with him at the cafe. Ask him for his phone number and give him yours. Tell him it would be nice to go out sometime for dinner or a drink.

Your confidence will build up and you will do better with him.

Good luck! George
