what do i do?

ok so my girlfriend or exgirlfriend idk what to say now has had a very troubling past. my parents let me see her but were still a bit nervous that she would bring me down. last week she got me in trouble and they pulled the plug and made me break up with her. i love her very much and care about her more than anything and she does too but right now she isn't good for me and i understand that. she says im the best thing that has ever happened to her and im the reason she is living right now. so she said "lets wait till your 18 and then we can be together without your parents getting involved." but i don't want any girl to ruin my relationship with my family so i told her no. then she said "would if i changed and then your dad will approve of me." it sounds like a very great idea and i want to do it, but there is only 1 thing. if it backfires and she gets her hopes up and still believes there is a chance and my dad still says i can't see her then she will be hurt even more and so will I. so what should i do? should i try to let her change and hope that my dad will approve? or should i get completely out of her life to make the pain of not being with each other go away? please help me because this is killing me

Ask him what changes she would have to make for him to approve of her.
His answer will give you the clue as to what you should do.
If he is negative then you should get out of her life.
