how do i get his attention??

i think this guy in my grade is cute,and he is new to the school, i was the first to know him, but there is another girl who is very vibrant and pretty. he obviously is taken in by that, and now he follows her around everywhere. help me figure out how to get his attention more, because he already atleast knows who i am, and get him to talk to me more! thanks...

You are lucky to be the first one to get to know him. Too bad you have competition.

To get him to talk to you more, you will have to think of things to say to him which he can answer and get a conversation going. Maybe sports-- it's College Basketball playoff time... ask him if he has a favorite college team or maybe a professional team. If he doesn't, ask him what sport he likes and which team.
