i dunno what to do anymore...

There's this guy that goes to college with me.
He's 25 and I'm turning 19 in a few months.
He had a 5 year long relationship that ended in December.
He has always been kinda flirty towards me and as i was developing feelings for him i asked him out in January.
He told me he was enjoying his single life and having a good time with his friends and that he only wanted us to be friends. HOWEVER he is still as flirty or even more since he knows i'm interested and it is getting to a point when i am completely and utterly going mental.
i want him give me a chance, and i know we could have fun going out together cus we always have a laugh when we're together.
what can i do? should i just ask him out again?

He is 25 and has been in a five year long relationship.

It is going to take him a while before he is ready to go out again. Five years is a very long time to be with one person and no doubt he is enjoying his freedom. As you probably know, a relationship is very intense, restrictive, and tiring in many ways unless you are really in need of companionship.

You have nothing to lose by asking him out again. Just don't be surprised if he still isn't ready for it.
