asking a girl out?

I like a girl and we are best freinds and i have told her that i liked her and she says that she doesn't want a boyfreind right now and she just likes me as a freind but today at lunch she was laying on me and flirting alot and im really confused if i should ask her out or what. im a freshmen in high school and this is the first girl ive ever liked like i do and if we do go out it will be my first girl freind. any advice would be very helpful
