Is it time to move on?

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
My fiance and I have been together for two years, living together for one. He understands that my past relationships have been bad due to verbal abuse, and some physical abuse. Lately we fight over everything. One day he loves that he can provide for me and I can be a housewife, the next day I'm lazy and I never do anything. Once in a while I ask him to do something little like take some containers to the trash, or help me carry the laundry downstairs and he acts like it's the end of the world. Our last fight he told me if I went to hang out with a friend of mine to pack my things and not come back, and he put his hands on me. I love this man and I don't want to leave him, but am I setting myself up for another relationship where I end up abused and afraid to try again?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You have one chance to save this relationship.

Go to a counsellor either with or without him. There is something wrong that you are running into so many abusers...maybe you can learn some techniques for dealing with that kind of behavior and perhaps your BF could learn to reduce his bad behavior.

Good luck! George
