Is that mean he wants me or I want him?

I've been in a 5 year relationship. He is about 15 years older than me. He broke up with me about 3 months ago. Too much misunderstanding, fighting about "little stuff" . What made it worse is that during summer he went on European trip to his country without me. I know he's been having a sexual relationship overseas. It was one of the reasons he broke up with me, becouse the other girl is probably "better" than me.
Now we call each other about twice a week, we see each other once a week, we do a lot of talking. Our conversations are much more interesting and easy going than they were before we broke up.
I still love him, I wish I can have him back, but I won't beg him. I want it to be his choice.I dont understand his actions. He is very nice to me now, I hear a lot of complements. We dont talk much about what we had before. I know he is contacting that other girl in Europe almost every day. Yet he doesn't hasitate to call me "baby" and other names called me before, He ask me every weekend for get together breakfast, even sometimes when I call him he say "I was hoping it's you".I Dont use his name when we talk, usually I dont address him or I use "Baby" but only cometimes, I dont want to make him feel like I am desperate for his love/approvement.
I don't know if he is sending me some message through this actions, or is it a normal after brake up?

You both are still attracted to each other and enjoy each other's company.
But, he still calls this other woman every day so you are left hanging grasping at clues that he still likes you in a special way.
My advice is to tell him that you care for him and would like to start your old relationship again. Tell him you are not desperate at all but just have a feeling that you two would work well together if you gave it a try.
