How do i talk to him?

there's a guy who is from a school that is practically next door to my school (my school is an all-girls school, and his is a boys school), and we catch the same train. i see him most afternoons, and we always say hi to each other. we said more in our first conversation, and he actually flirted with me a little! we still say hi and i'm pretty sure he likes me because i see him staring at me all the time. i think that he's too scared to make the first move, but so i am. and another thing, he's a few months younger than i am!
i would like to know how to talk to him very casually. i really like this guy and i dont want to be rejected by him, but then i don't want to seem desperate.

To talk casually, sit by him on the train if you can... or nearby.
If that doesn't work, approach him on the playground and tell him that you want to talk to him but that you are too shy and ask him if he is shy too.
Make sure you continue to say hi and smile at each other... that is very important.
