I care for my boyfriend, but sometimes he really annoys me! He has the worst manners, he has a bad temper and snaps at me even when I didn't do anything wrong. I want things to work, but it's hard! How do I get our relationship to go more smoothly? Or should I just hide in his massive library and give up on things?

Relationships grow and evolve over time, and it can sometimes be hard for people who haven't been in relationships to deal with the sharing, the give-and-take and talking that are required in a relationship. The question is, is he trying to communicate more? Is he trying to learn to make things work? If he is truly trying to talk and to share, things can work. With both of you actively caring about each other and working through issues, you'll grow together. On the other hand, if he's just actively mean, and shows no sign of changing, you might want to stay with your books. If a relationship involves one person wanting the the other to change, and the second person being happy the way things are, it'll never work out so that both are happy.
