In Love with a Dead Man
Question:
This woman I really trust, I'll call her my godmother, said I'd fall in love with the perfect guy and that he'd die. That made me sad, but at least I figured I'd have the perfect guy for a while.
Then I met this guy, and he seemed to be perfect. But then my godmother told him something that wasn't true, to get him to do the opposite thing. She said that some people are like that, you have to tell them one thing to get them to do another.
So now the question is, do I tell the guy I like him? Maybe if he likes to hear the opposite thing, I should tell him that I hate him. That way he would fall in love with me.

It's never a good idea to deliberately lie to someone. Relationships are about trust - trusting in the person you know and the place you are in is real. You need to have faith in your relationship. To start or maintain a relationship by lying makes the person you're with doubt everything else about the relationship. It makes it seem like an illusion.
Show him you love him. You shouldn't need to tell him the words for him to know it - he should know by the way you act and do things for him. Try bringing him breakfast in bed!
