Over 40 Age Differences

Once you are over 35 or 40 - the usual cut-off for having kids - the age differences matter less and less. You both are mature, you both have "been around the block". You both are pretty settled with what you want out of life. You probably both have jobs or are retired. So now it's a matter of merging your lives together.

Many age-different relationships work with people who are over 40. It's a matter of becoming best friends first, and respecting each other. Neither of you is a schoolkid to boss around. You both have your set ways, for better or for worse. You need to just accept that and live with it, and find ways to find compromises.
