Don't be someone else
Guys hate it when girls act all preppy and "ohmagawd" ish.
You have to be yourself, not someone else. Don,t talk to them ALL THE TIME, everyone needs their space. Also, don,t EVER, talk bad about anyone. You want a good impression, right? Don,t talk about your ex, either. Be confident and smile when he talks to you. Remember, you should get a guy who likes you for you :)
