Cheating and Lying :
Building Honesty :
Fess Up To Your Mistakes

I was cheated on by a long-term partner. He lied his ass off to do it. Neither I nor the other girl knew about each other, not for a long time. Or at least we didn't think so. When I found out, a lot of things snapped into place.

Lying about something so major simply doesn't work. Someone as close to you as your SO is going to have a lot of intuition about you. It turned out that both of us had suspected this guy the entire time -- we just kept trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. What you don't know really can hurt you.

The fact that he took advantage of that, that he let me believe I was paranoid, that I was the one ruining our relationship? That hurts far, FAR more than the actual cheating.

If you're hiding something from someone you care about, CONFESS NOW. Tomorrow could be too late to do the right thing.
