Not the First Date

It´s usually a bad idea to tell someone you love them on the first date. This gives the impression that you say it to everyone you date, even if you try to claim you don´t! Also, on the first date you only see on part of someone´s personality - your date might think that now you will only love them if they are *always* just like that, and not when they´re in other moods.

It also might make your date think you´re after more intimacy, and using that as a way to get at it. Again, even if you say you´re not, the feeling might still be there.

Wait at least until you get a few dates in, if you really feel that strongly, to show that you do have the commitment and desire to be with this person. Your statement of love will be taken much more seriously then, and might be said back to you!
