One of the results of betraying someone's trust is that they always wonder what you're up to after that - are you out doing something else "bad"? At least for a few weeks or months, overcompensate in how much you communicate. Maybe sure your partner knows every day exactly where you'll be, what you'll be doing, who you'll be doing it with. At the end of the day, share the stories of the things you did.

This is something that most couples do anyway, and it can help rebuild that layer of understanding between you two. Ofter time your partner may get to be more comfortable with you again, and you can cut back on the level of explicit detail. On the other hand, you may find that it's really fun to tell each other all about the things you're doing, and it may become a part of the new, closer you.
