Bring a Small Gift

A relationship should NEVER be about presents or love-for-gifts. But if you bring a small present on that first date - a single flower, a small figuring of a favorite animal - it can really help to break the ice. Your date will be very nervous too and having something to focus on, to talk about, can be great for those first few minutes while you both get used to each other.

Do NOT bring jewelry or a ring for that first meeting. Those things symbolize commitment, and you do not want to be adding stress to those first few moments. If you do want to offer jewelry, save that for a second meeting.
