Stages of a Relationship :
Talk About It :
The new-love ´perfect mate´

When two people first fall in love, their hormones are bombarding them with "a perfect partner! a perfect relationship" signals that are hard to think through. It´s easy to think that this is THE perfect person for you, different from every other person, and consider their few flaws are easily dealt with. It´s tempting to run off and marry or move in during this phase, in the heady rush. Resist ...

You need to date a person for a few months, and get past this phase in your relationship, to know if things will really work out for you two. Give the relationship time so you know the person as a *real person*, not just as a starry-eyed lover who is wrapped up in the same rush you are.

The person won´t necessarily be better or worse, but your partner will most definitely be *different* - as will you (although you may not think you are!). Give the relationship time to get to this stage, and accept your partner based on that reality.
