I Want My Ex Back :
Taking a Break :
Basics of Taking a Break

When someone says they want to take a break, in essence that is a really wimpy way of breaking up. Here's the issue.

If you are in a relationship, then you talk with each other, spend time with each other and nuture the relationship.

If you are NOT in a relationship, then the relationship has time to stagnate, you have time to drift apart, you can get close to another person. If you are "taking a break" this is the state you're in.

If you want to work on the relationship and problems, then work on it. This is the whole point of a relationship, to work through issues.

If you do NOT want to work on the relationship, then break up. It is not fair to keep your partner around as a safety net in case you want to go back some time in the future.
