I was with my ex-girlfriend for 6 years and I was gonna propose to her in july and she broke up with me in march, she was diagnosed with a serious illness that she is recovering from and her parents (mom doesnt like me) divorced after 30 years and she lost her job at the same time.
We never took a break or anything and she tells me that the arguing and the stupid lies about weed and cigarettes broke us up(i know sounds dumb to me too). She says that she doesnt want to get hurt again and I dont see her because she is in another state rehabing, but I feel like were perfect together and I just cant give up.

She says that I will move on like she will and we havent spoken but we've emailed each other. I was wondering if its been everything shes going through or if she's fed up with me. I made the usual post break-up mistakes but I couldnt help myself. Ive given her space but I dont know what to do.
