If you went through a breakup, there are often times that friends were less than helpful. Sometimes it's just that the friends seemed to be pleased that you were hurt, because they were jealous of your relationship. At other times your so-called friends could have been far worse, spreading lies or cheating on you to actually cause the break-up.

Spend this time before you move forward in resolving those situations. If you have friends around you that actively did not support you, it is time to really get that under control. You want the best possible chance of having a good relationship this time around. If your best friend was also launching a smear campaign against you, now would be a good time to talk with her and maybe tell her that you've decided friendship is about respect - and she has lost yours.
