my name is aaron, i'm 14, i'm 5 feet tall and when i talk to girls none of them seem to like me... Is this because of my height? Also, my parents are 5 ft 1 and 5 ft 6 which means i won't be that tall. This is the real world and is nothing like television where you say hi to a girl then she kisses you. This is life and i can't find one girl interested in me. Help!

Hi Aaron & welcome,
And stop worrying!

Well, at 14 you probably haven't finished growing, so don't worry. Many 14 year olds suddenly shoot up.

If your parents are 5 ft 1 and 5 ft 6, then you may not be very tall even then, but I think, as a general rule of thumb, boys tend to be taller than their dads.

If you are worrying about this, then your fretting might put girls off. Stop worrying about things that you can't change. Girls are more interested in cleanliness, etc, than height.

My daughter is 13; her friends have shorter boyfriends. That's how it can be at that age.

And remember, some very successful and attractive men were / are not that tall.

I didn't date much until college.
My advice is to consider High School practice in terms of the dating scene - but not really the real thing.
On rare occasion people in high school meet the love of their life - but don't plan on that.

I would try to do as well as you can in school, including finding extracurricular things you enjoy doing - so that when the time comes, you can go to college where you will meet lots of interesting attractive women who are not so immature as to judge a man by his height.

Yes, I agree.

Indeed, 14 is rather young to be worrying about this at all. Not many of my daughter's friends actually have boyfriends at all ~ including her ~ they consider themselves to be too young.

Just keep things friendly and stop worrying.

There are some very attractive and popular actors who are not too tall, eg Tom Cruise & Michael J Fox. Definitely not too short for love. Danny de Vito is under 5', I understand, and he found love with Rhea Perlman. It's the person that counts.

I dated 2 guys last year and they were both shorter than me. If being short is turning girls off, then those girls aren't worth it. A girl will come along who's truly interested in you and won't care about how tall you are. Plus, like you said, you're only 14, you'll probably grow some more.
