I thought that too when she said it to me...and I thought it was a bit harsh, but I have always had men I was in a relationship with that would say that to me and...they were right. Actually now that I think about it the only man who has never said that to me is my husband and that is probably why I married him.
I do agree with you on the instincts...people have good instincts...we just don't give ourselves enough credit or trust in them.
